EU prods Uganda government to respect freedom of expression, free movement

Brussels, Belgium (PANA) - The European Union (EU) on Wednesday called on the Government of Uganda to respect the freedom of expression and the right to peaceful and safe assembly, including the free movement of all political actors and their supporters In a press release on presidential election held last week, the EU said it took note the election results declared by the Electoral Commission in Uganda and “welcomes that no major violent incidents were reported on Election Day”
