Curfew extended for 45 days in Burkina Faso's Sahel

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - The governor of the Sahel Region of Burkina Faso, Colonel Major Salfo Kaboré, announced here Monday an extension of the curfew imposed on the region for 45 days from 12 October to 25 November, 2021.

The curfew extends from 00:00 to 4:00 for the towns of Djibo and Dori and from 22:00 to 4:00 for the communes of Bani, Gorom-Gorom, Falagountou, Sampelga, Sebba and Seytenga.

The curfew runs for the rest of the region from 7pm to 5am.

The governor called for strict compliance with the terms of this measure.

The Sahel region of Burkina Faso, like several other regions, is regularly under curfew as part of the fight against terrorism.
