Cote d'Ivoire sets plan for competitiveness of national airline

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA)   -   The council of ministers, at the end of a meeting held here Wednesday, approved of a plan to ensure the competitiveness of Air Côte d'Ivoire, the national airline company.

Six years after the start of its operations in January 2013, the company has become, according to the terms of a press release from the council of ministers, one of the leading and benchmark airport companies in West Africa with a market share of 52 percent and an annual turnover of 90 billion CFA francs.

It is in order to support the profitability and to guarantee the sustainability of this national company which contributes strongly to the dynamics of the local airport activity, that a plan to optimize the competitiveness of Air Côte d'Ivoire was adopted.

With regard to the economic challenges of this optimization plan, the minister of transport has been informed, as well as all the ministers concerned in order to take the appropriate measures for its implementation as soon as possible.
