Côte d’Ivoire: Football Federation shortlists 5 candidates for national coaching job

Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (PANA) – The technical committee of the Ivorian football federation (FIF) has shortlisted five candidates for the post of national football coach, sports sources told PANA on Monday.

The chairman of the technical committee, Benjamin Djédjé, said that the committee reviewed dossiers from 37 candidates, six of whom are Ivorians.

The shortlisted candidates are Francis Gillot, Frédéric Antonetti, Hervé Renard, Jose Manuel De Jesus and Luis Fernandez.

The FIF executive board will have to name a coach from the five.

After the defeat of the Elephants in the first round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, coach Sabri Lamouchi resigned.
