Corsair denies resumption of Senegal flights

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - Corsair, a subsidiary of the TUI group, on Thursday denied a publication in the Senegalese media on the possible resumption of flights to the country.

The management of Corsair in a statement also refuted that the former workers of the airline were to return to work.

"This information has in no way been confirmed by the management of Corsair which was not contacted to validate this information," the statement said.

Corsair on 31 January stopped the operation of its Paris-Dakar flight following a decision of the National Agency of Civil Aviation and Meteorology of Senegal to give the traffic rights to a new airline, Air Senegal.

Corsair obtained these traffic rights in 2012, following the liquidation of Air Senegal International.

In Africa, Corsair continues to serve Côte d'Ivoire and Mauritius.
