Coronavirus: Gambia’s cases rise to 22 as new 2 cases registered

Banjul, Gambia (PANA) - A top official at the Ministry of Health here Monday  announced that the country registered another two new positive confirmed cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number to 22.

Buba Darboe, in an update on behalf of the Health Minister, Dr Ahmadou Lamin Samateh, said a man and a woman tested positive for coronavirus Monday after being quarantined for returning from neighboring Senegal.

“As of today, Monday, 11th May, 2020, we have registered 2 new confirmed laboratory cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 22. Both newly confirmed cases, a male and female, have been quarantined for recently returning into the country from Senegal,” he said-
