Coronavirus: Cote d'Ivoire confirms 17 cases

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - Côte d'Ivoire has announced 17 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus), according to the Ministry of Health, with three new positive cases on Saturday.

On Friday, four patients also tested positive with all of them having stayed recently in European countries affected by the pandemic.

Côte d'Ivoire has stepped up daily awareness and information measures on COVID-19.

The National Security Council headed by President Alassane Ouattara has announced social, health and hygiene measures to combat the disease.
