Coronavirus: CAF President Ahmad Ahmad tests positive

Cairo, Egypt (PANA) - CAF President Ahmad Ahmad tested positive for the Coronavirus shortly after his arrival in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

CAF said on its website that Mr. Ahmad showed mild flu symptoms, and submitted to the Covid19 protocol.

The test results are positive, it said, adding that "The President immediately went into self isolation for at least the next 14 days at his hotel."

It said "All those who have come into contact with Mr. Ahmad over the past seven days - especially during his trip to Morocco for the Confederation Cup - have been informed and asked to take the necessary measures."
