CHAN 2011: Ghana coach calls up 32 players
Accra, Ghana (PANA) – Ghana's football coach, Coach Herbert Addo, has named a 32-man pre-CHAN squad to begin camping on Monday towards the 2011 African Nations Championship in Sudan, according to the Ghana Football Association.
The home-based side has been drawn in Group B of the competition set for February next year.
The local Black Stars who would be making their second consecutive appearance at the tournament are paired in the same group with South Africa, Zimbabwe and Niger in the 16-nation competition.
Coach Addo's squad, though dominated by players from the premier league, includes three players from the lower divisions.
The squad would be trimmed to 21 for the second edition of the competition designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries.
