C0vid-19: Seventy Malians stranded in UAE return home

Bamako, Mali (PANA) - Seventy Malians who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to Covid-19 disease arrived in Bamako on Sunday on an Emirati ETIHAD plane, an official source told PANA on Monday.

 
They were greeted when they got off the plane by Minister of Transport and Urban Mobility, Ibrahima Abdoul Ly, who was accompanied by technical, health and safety services.
 
The health system was in place and the barrier and social distancing measures were respected as they got off the plane.
 
All passengers were removed as soon as they disembarked and their suitcases were checked, before they were taken to their confinement pending the results of the tests and the end of their quarantine period.
 
In addition, the minister received 10 tonnes of equipment to combat the spread of Covid-19, including 5,000 test kits offered to Mali by the United Arab Emirates, also transported by plane  chartered by Cheick Mohamed Bin Zayed, Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates.
