Burkinabè government reaffirms relief for terror victims
Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - The Burkinabè government has reaffirmed it will relieve the suffering of those hard hit by terrorist attacks and called for the high sense of responsibility of each Burkinabè for the victory, an official statement said on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, a government mission brought back orphans aged between two months and five years from Orbinda in the Sahel.
"These children, now live in an orphanage in Ouagadougou where they get appropriate care," according to the statement.
Since 2015, terrorist attacks have resulted in more than half a million internally displaced people in Burkina Faso, plagued by a humanitarian crisis.
These attacks also killed more than 700 people.
In his New Year's message, the President of Burkina Faso called on the people to join the army.
