Burkinabe President meets with High Defence Council

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - President  Roch Marc Christian Kaboré of Burkina Faso on Saturday gathered the Superior Defence Council to rule on the security situation and the coronavirus pandemic, it was officially announced here.

 
As Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, he summoned a session of the Superior Council of National Defence, with analysis of the national security and the health situation in the country as the main agenda, a press release from the Presidency said.

 
In addition to recurring terrorist attacks, Burkina Faso, like other countries around the world, is facing the coronavirus pandemic which has already killed 52 people.
 
According to informed sources, an ambush against soldiers killed people on Friday night in Sanmatenga province of the north-central region. Local authorities have not yet reported on the attack.
