Botswana launches 12th national assembly

Gaborone, Botswana (PANA) - Botswana President, Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi, and Members of Parliament are attending an orientation seminar to launch the 12th National Assembly.

The seminar is held at Travelodge in the small town of Kasane, 925.5 kilometers from the capital city of Gaborone. It is at the far north-eastern corner of Botswana where it serves as the administrative center of the fauna and flora rich Chobe District. 

According to the parliament information desk, the high-level seminar which involves all the newly-elected members of parliament is in preparation for the State of the Nation address expected on the 18th of Nov 2019.

The orientation is held under the theme 'Enhancing capacity to promote good governance in the era of knowledge based economy.'
