Botswana Democratic Party launches Braille party manifesto

Gaborone, Botswana (PANA) - The ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has launched a Braille party manifesto in a bid to include the visually challenged and impaired.

The Braille written party manifesto was launched by the Botswana Vice President, Slumber Tsogwane, on Tuesday, in the capital city of Gaborone.

The ruling BDP is the first party to launch the Braille written manifesto and the first in the history of the country.

Vice President Tsogwane, together with the BDP leadership held a press conference to launch the abridged Braille manifesto.

He said this is a way of reaching out to the visually challenged and to include them in the running of the country.

“The Braille written manifesto will give the visually challenged an insight into what the ruling BDP has for them and give them a choice of making a sound decision when voting," he said.
