At least 8 people killed in north-central Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - At least 8 people were killed and cattle stolen  on Saturday from Moméné village, in the commune of Zimtanga in north-central Burkina Faso by armed men, the Burkinabe news agency (AIB) reported citing an official source.
 
According to testimonies reported to the AIB, an armed group burst into the market of Moméné and shot at their victims at close range. The group had also been to Dénéon village.
 
Moméné is a small village located about 30 km from Zimtanga, which is 25 km from the provincial capital, Kongoussi.

The resurgence of attacks in the same commune in October 2019, had forced 2/3 of the villagers to flee to Kongoussi.
