At least 5 soldiers killed in attack on a military camp in northern Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - At least five Burkinabè soldiers were killed on Thursday in an attack on the military detachment of Sollé, Loroum province of northern Burkina Faso, PANA learned from a security source.

"Several assailants attacked the military detachment of Sollé on Thursday morning. We lost at least five soldiers on the battlefield," said a military officer.

The attack also left several wounded or missing in the ranks of the Burkinabé Army, several sources said.

Authorities have not commented yet on the attack.
