At least 29 terrorists 'put out of action' following a military operation in eastern Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - At least 29 terrorists were "put out of action" in a military operation in eastern Burkina Faso between 19 and 20 February, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the Burkinabe army.

According to the statement, the operation carried out in the area of the presidential camps in Kompienbiga and Kabonga, in the east of the country, also led to the seizure of a significant quantity of arms, ammunition, equipment and food.

Since 2015, Burkina Faso has been facing terrorist attacks that have killed more than 300 people. Fourteen provinces have been put under a state of emergency since the end of 2018.
