Arab League special envoy to Libya dies in Tunis

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA)   -   The special envoy of the Secretary-General of the Arab League in Libya, Tunisian diplomat Salaheddine Jamali died here Friday at the age of 72, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

Jamali spent most of his diplomatic career at the Tunisian ministry of Foreign Affairs, which he joined in 1973.

He has held various positions in the central administration, including Secretary of State for Maghreb, Arab and African Affairs and Ambassador of Tunisia to Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan respectively.

He was appointed special envoy of the Secretary-General of the Arab League to Libya in October 2016.
