AfDB Private Sector VP on country needs for better economic stabilization strategies

Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire (PANA) - Solomon Quaynor, the Vice President of Private Sector, Infrastructure and Industrialization at the African Development Bank (AfDB), says during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, private sector enterprises must receive immediate support from financiers before it is too late.

The Bank media outlet quoted Quaynor as saying that the Bank is working with governments to develop economic stabilization and resilience strategies.

This includes supporting governments to create an enabling environment for private sector businesses to recover and perform, despite the prevailing adverse business environment.

Quaynor also details how private sector clients will receive direct support, saying “The recovery effort is where we spend time understanding the business plans [of private sector businesses] through the recovery period.”
