Abidjan hosts 3rd edition of the professional technical book and digital book days
Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - The 3rd edition of the professional technical and digital book days will take place on 5-6 December in Abidjan under the theme: "The technical book, digital and immersion in companies, supports for the industrial development of Côte d'Ivoire".
One of the objectives of the organizers of this biennial is to offer practical internships to the teaching and supervisory staff of technical education and vocational training, in line with the evolution of procedures and the rapid technological changes in the professional and industrial world.
This meeting was prompted by an observation: the lack of textbooks in the vocational training programme. According to the organisers, the only ones used are designed in Europe and, therefore, inaccessible to teachers and learners.
The aim is to encourage teachers to produce teaching materials adapted to African cultural realities.
These professionals and digital technical book days will allow vocational training stakeholders to exchange views and reflect on the issue. For learners, this framework should help them to master the French language in their written and oral practice through the installation and creation of reading and writing clubs.
Panels, conferences-debates, exhibitions and book sales will be held on these days, which set up publishing competitions for teachers and writing competitions for learners.
