2026 FIFA WC Qualifers: Ghana run riot in five-star performance against CAR

Accra, Ghana (PANA) - Ghana’s Black Stars ran riot in a splendid performace as they thrashed Central African Republic (CAR) 5-0 in their penultimate Group I match in 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa qualifying group match played in Meknes, Morocco, on Wednesday.

The result means Ghana have 22 points and a goal difference of 16 and need one point in the final group match on Sunday at home against Comoros for automatic qualification for the finals.

Mohammed Salisu (20th), Thomas Partey (52nd), Alexander Djiku (69th), Jordan Ayew 71st and Kamaldeen Sulemana (87th) were on target fir Ghana.

Madagascar beat Comoros 2-1 away to maintain the second spot with 19 points and a goal difference of 8.

Mali beat Chad 2-0 away and have 15 points with a goal difference of 8, Comros also have 15 points with a goal diffremce of zero, CAR have 5 points while Chad have 1 point.
