2022 FIFA WC playoff: Senegal beat Egypt 3-1 on penalties to reach Qatar 2022

Dakar, Senegal (PANA) - African champions Senegal reached the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar on Tuesday after beating Egypt 3-1on penalties in their second leg playoff match in Dakar.

The match ended 1-0 in favour of Senegal after extra time and with Egypt winning last Tuesday's first leg by the same margin bringing the aggregate score to 1-1, the duel was settled by penalties.

And for the second time since last month when Senegal beat Egypt on penalties to win the Africa Cup of Nations trophy in Cameroon, Sadio Mane's kick sent the Senegalese to the World Cup finals.
