2021 AFCON: Cautious Kenya ready to face Comoros in return tie

Nairobi, Kenya (PANA) - After settling for a frustrating 1-1 draw in Nairobi, Kenya jet out to Moroni on Saturday for their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier return tie against The Comoros.

Kenya, who failed to utilise home advantage to win the match, lock horns with Comoros in the Group G return match on Sunday.

Group G has The Comoros, Egypt, Kenya and Togo.

Kenya coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee says the team will do everything they can to clinch victory in Moroni.

The draw has put a dent into Kenya's hopes of qualifying for a second consecutive AFCON.

Mulee points out he believes they can go out and win away to get back on track.

“It is a huge game in Moroni because they are not an easy side," he said.

"It is a difficult hunting ground but we believe we can go there and sneak in some three points," he added.

The Comoros lead the group with 5 points from one victory and two draws.

Kenya, placed second in the group, are on three points from three matches.

Egypt, set to play Togo on Friday night, are third with two points. Togo are fourth with one point.
