2019 AFCON: Senegal beat Uganda 1-0 to reach quarter-finals

Cairo, Egypt (PANA) - Senegal sailed into the quarter-finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament when they beat Uganda 1-0 in their Round of 16 match played at the Cairo International Stadium.

Sadio Mane's 15th minute strike was the difference between the two teams although Mane missed a penalty kick, his second miss in the tournament.

Senegal will meet Benin, who stunned one of the favourites, Morocco, earlier in the day. Benin won 4-1 on penalties after the match ended 1-1 after extra time.
