2018 COSAFA Women’s Championship: South Africa, Uganda reach semi-finals

Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa (PANA) - Hosts South Africa and Uganda on Monday reached the semi-finals of the ongoing 2018 COSAFA Women’s Championship.

In the final group qualifiers, South Africa defeated Malawi 6-0 to win Group A with the maximum 9 points from three wins, while Uganda beat Zimbabwe 2-1 to win Group C with 7 points.

The other semi-final slots will be filled by the winner of Group B, to be decided on Tuesday, and the best runners up from the three groups.

The semi-finals will be played on 20 Sept., the bronze-medal match on 21 Sept. and the final on 22 Sept.
