'Ivorian François Zahoui is new ASK Guinea coach'

Conakry, Guinea (PANA) - Francois Zahoui, a former coach of the Ivorian and Nigerien national teams, has been named the new coach of the Kaloum Sports Association (ASK) of Guinea, PANA reported on Friday, quoting sports sources in Conakry, the Guinean capital.

The duration and terms of the contract between ASK and the Ivorian coach, are not specified.

The Facebook page of the "Jaunes" on the Conakry peninsula indicates that President Bouba Sampil has also called on Alpha Baldé, a sports journalist resident in Europe, to take up the post of sports director.

Also, ASK, defeated in the finals of the 1995 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Cup, has recruited Burkinabe, Ahmed Touré, a former member of AS Vita Club from DR Congo.

Joining ASK will be Francois Zahoui's second stint with the Conakry club.

After being eliminated in the Round of 16 of the Champions Clubs' League in 2015 against USMA of Algiers, the management of "Les Sous-marins" replaced Francois Zahoui with Frenchman Hugot Cabouret, who was coach of AJ Auxerre's goalkeepers.
