'Dangerous' terror suspect arrested in Tunisia

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - Tunisian security forces in Sousse town, 140 km south of Tunis, on Monday arrested a person described as "dangerous" who was wanted  for involvement in several suspected terrorist operations and for his membership of a "terrorist" organization, media sources said.

This unspecified person entered Tunisia from Libya "through illegal channels," the same sources added.

Tunisian army units on Sunday killed a person described as "dangerous," named as Mourad Cheib and better known as 'Aoouf Abu Muhajer', brother of another alleged terrorist Lukman Abu Sakhr who was killed in 2015.

The person arrested in Sousse is considered one of the most dangerous bloodthirsty "terrorist" leaders.

He has been involved in numerous attacks targeting security men and military personnel in Tunisia since 2013.

"Terrorist" organizations have entrenched themselves in the mountain ranges near the border with Algeria, and according to recent information, members of these groups from Algeria are fighting against their rivals.

These armed groups have launched several attacks endangering the Tunisian state since 2013, but the Tunisian security response has become more effective over the past five years and has put the  "Okba Ben Nafaa"organization's leaders, an affiliate of Al-Qaed in the Islamic Maghreb out of harm's way.
