Cape Town, South Africa (PANA) -
Two of South Africa's
leading chief executives have joined forces to reverse
the brain drain from Africa.
Leaders Unlimited's Auguste Coetzer and partner, Brian
Khumalo, have placed several top Chief Executive Officers
appointed in South Africa.
While they will function globally, their focus will be on
Africa and on placing local talent.
In addition, they will work to lure back skilled expatriates
to support economies across the continent.
"We pulled off a major coup last year when we brought back
a top NASA scientist to Africa to head the World
Bank-sponsored African Virtual University. A native of Mali,
the rocket engineer left home 15 years ago to pursue a career
in science, ending up as a senior member of the NASA team in
Pasadena, California," Khumalo said.
Leaders Unlimited is working on returning to South Africa
skilled executives who have the ability to expand the
economy and create jobs.
Servicing primarily major Corporate Organisations, parastatals
and government, the partnership brings with it a wealth of
experience.
Both Khumalo and Coetzer have had extensive experience of
operating in Africa, as well as internationally.
Coetzer said Leaders Unlimited was in the final stages of
forming a strategic alliance with one of the world's largest
executive recruiting Companies, which she did not name.
"The South African market is going to sit up and take notice
when we make this announcement because it is going to bring
hitherto unavailable global links to the African market," she
added.
