Ivorian army chief replies to predecessor's threat
Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire (PANA) - The Ivorian army chief of staff, Gen. Philippe Mangoua has called for serenity and vigilance among the population following threats contained in a letter issued by his predecessor, Maj. Gen. Mathias Yehamun Doué against President Laurent Gbagbo's government.  In a radio-televised statement broadcast Sunday, Gen. Guinea Bissau's PAIGC rejects Nino Vieira's victory
Bissau, Guinea Bissau (PANA)- The candidate of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea Bissau and Cape Verde, Malam Bacai Sanha told a rally here Saturday that "the PAIGC will never recognise the victory of Nino Vieira." Addressing supporters of the headquarters of the party founded by the late Amilcar Cabral in downtown Bissau, Sanha said that "we respect the decision of the Supreme Court but we shall never accept it."
