Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) – The Chief of Staff of the Ivorian Defence and Security Forces (FDS), General Philippe Mangou, on Tuesday met President Alassane Ouattara to pledge to him the loyalty of the Army, Navy and Air Force as well as the paramilitary forces.

“That operation should enable the population to go about their business and ensure the resumption of normal activities," he added.

On Monday evening, the senior commander of the Gendarmerie, General Edouard Kassaraté and the Director of the Police, Bredou M'Bia, pledged the loyalty of their forces to Ouattara.
