 | Gbagbo promises necessary powers to next premier | | Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire (PANA) - President Laurent Gbagbo of Cote d'Ivoire
has promised to give the necessary powers to enable the next Prime
Minister fulfil his task "once I am certain will perform the work for
which he is appointed."
Gbagbo said this at the weekend during a meeting with
representatives of the Odienné population, 786 km north-west of
Abidjan.
