Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The head of works management at the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, al-Taher al-Baour, on Tuesday discussed with the Executive Secretary General of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA), Nadros Bekele Thomas, aspects of cooperation between Libya and AUDA/NEPAD in a number of economic and development sectors.
During the meeting in Tripoli, Mr al-Baour and Ms Thomas also discussed, in particular, transport and infrastructure projects linking Libya to African countries close to the Mediterranean Sea, in order to provide a link for transit trade, according to a statement issued by the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting also discussed the importance of strengthening Libyan investments on the African continent and the possibility of using them to support development projects, underlining the need to work on forming a technical team comprising the technical sectors, in terms of coordination and cooperation on partnership opportunities between Libya and the member states of the AUDA/NEPAD Agency and other African countries.
