Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity Abdulhamid al Dbaiba Wednesday stressed the need to empower women in all State institutions by offering them appropriate opportunities.
He also hailed the efforts made by all Libyan women to build and uplift the nation.
At a meeting with deans of faculties at Libyan universities, attended by the Minister of State for Women's Affairs, Houria Tarmal, and members of the House of Representatives, Aicha Chalabi and Rabia Abou Ras, Mr. Al Dbaiba stressed the importance of empowering women in all state institutions.
Al Dbaiba highlighted the efforts of the Minister of State for Women's Affairs in organizing meetings with women leaders at all levels and listening to the difficulties they face in carrying out their duties in various institutions, according to a press release issued by the government platform "Hakomitna".
Ms. Tarmal stressed that the government's efforts to support and empower women in senior and middle management positions are seen as distinctive compared to previous governments, particularly in senior management positions.
