Youth summit presents its conclusions

Durban- South Africa (PANA) -- The international youth committee meeting in Durban during the world conference against racism Wednesday evening proposed an 11-point action plan on measures to be taken to fight against racism, discrimination and intolerance more effectively.
Contrary to NGOs and conference delegates who continue to falter over this point, the youths were able to agree to ask Israel to put an end to the violence against Palestinians.
They also unanimously called for reparations and compensation which should be in the form of aid in the education and health sectors, among other priority areas.
The main points of their plan of action are expressed in recommendations in the fields of education, employment, health, environment and justice.
This plan also includes measures to fight against poverty, share globalisation resources, defend the rights of minorities and denounce human rights violations based on gender.
