Youth embark on HIV/AIDS campaign

Port Louis- Mauritius (PANA) -- A youth group, Mauritius Youth for Life, would this week launch a campaign to sensitise students on HIV/AIDS.
"We support life, health and the protection of life as well as use of the condom," one of the group's leaders explained, as she presented a document on HIV/AIDS compiled for distribution among college students.
Health authorities note that among the HIV infected population in Mauritius, 75 percent are between 15 to 39 years of age and 18 percent between 15 to 24 years.
They say 321 cases have been officially recorded in the island since 1987, but warn that the actual figure could be three or four times more.
