Windhoek to host mayors' anti-AIDS alliance offices

Windhoek- Namibia (PANA) -- The Namibian capital has been chosen to host the secretariat of the "Alliance of Mayors and Municipal Leaders on HIV/AIDS," the country's news agency reported Wednesday.
Nampa said that mayors from across the continent chose Windhoek during their meeting last week in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire where the main topic was how to combat HIV/AIDS at local authority level.
The liaison office would be located in Abidjan.
The Alliance is an initiative of mayors from across the continent for community action on AIDS at the local level.
