West African journalists hold seminar on consumer rights

Ouagadougou- Burkina Faso (PANA) -- A sub-regional seminar for journalists is underway in Ouagadougou on quality promotion and protection of consumers' rights within the eight-nation West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
The seminar, which opened Thursday and organised by the UEMOA Commission, seeks to create a network of journalists on issues related to consumer rights in collaboration with consumer associations.
Pierre Boudo, head of UEMOA's quality control programme, said the two-day meeting would sensitise the journalists interested in the subject.
