Wade for Ouattara’s inauguration

Dakar, Senegal (PANA) - Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade will attend the inauguration of Alassane Ouattara as Ivorian President in Yamoussoukro, Cote d'Ivoire, Saturday, PANA reported Friday.

Mr Ouattara visited Senegal 12-13 May, marking his first official trip abroad as president.

He was sworn in on 6 May after winning the presidential runoff against incumbent Laurent Gbagbo.

But Gbagbo's refusal to step down plunged the country into a prolonged post-election crisis that ended only when the incumbent was arrested.
