Johannesburg- South Africa (PANA) -- German player Thomas Mueller Sunday won the Adidas Golden Boot of the 2010 FIFA World Cup with his five goals of the tournam e nt, according to the FIFA media outlet.
Mueller, 20, was also named Hyundai Best Young Player of the 2010 FIFA World Cup by FIFAâ?s Technical Study Group (TSG), following his outstanding performance a t the World Cup.
Two other players, David Villa of Spain and Wesley Sneijder of the Netherlands, also scored five goals but the Boot went to Mueller because he made more goal as s ists than the others.
According to FIFA, if two or more players are tied on goals, the one who made th e most assists will win.
If assists canâ?t split them, the one who played the least minutes will emerge with the prize.
Germany on Saturday won the third-place match, beating Uruguay 3-2.
