Bamako- Mali (PANA) -- A new airport terminal is to be built at the Bamako-Sénou Airport in Mali, at a cost of US$ 71.
6 million, (about 40 billion CFA francs), through financing by the United States, PANA learnt from official sources here.
The funds for the execution of the project, planned for a duration of 23 months, is from a US programme of the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA).
The construction, to be executed by the Sinohydro Corporation, will involve a terminal with the capacity to accommodate thousands of passengers, access roads, parking areas, power building and water networks, as well as conveniences on a total surface of 8,930 square metres.
The main building will be designed in a modern style incorporating local architectural elements that will make Bamako-Sénou Airport one of the most beautiful and biggest in the West African sub-region, Malian authorities said.
