Ondjiva, Angola (PANA) - A total of US$ 254,000 was realised at a cattle auction held in the Ondjiva city, Angola, as part of the sixth edition of the Expo/Cunene 2011, which started here Saturday.
Disclosing this to the Angolan News Agency (ANGOP) Tuesday, the Director of Agriculture, Commerce and Industry Fair (Expo/Cunene), Francisco Boleth, said the expo was featuring 43 farmers, composed of 35 nationals and eight Namibians.
Boleth said 138 cattle, divided into 24 breed categories, were sold during the auction aimed at evaluating the efforts of local farmers in re-launching national economy.
