UNESCO population seminar for journalists in Yaounde

Yaounde- Cameroon (PANA) -- UNESCO is organising a three-day population seminar in Yaounde this week for advocacy journalists.
UNESCO official Cheikh Tidiane Sy, said the 13-15 June meeting, seeks to strengthen the capacities of participants on issues related to population, reproductive health and gender.
It will also enable journalists to identify priority targets for advocacy activities in population and development, to better communicate with political and traditional leaders on population programmes in relation with development, health and the environment.
The seminar is organised in partnership with the UN Population Agency, (UNFPA) and the Cameroonian Women Affairs Ministry.
