UAE: African Airlines Association to meet in November

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (PANA) - The 47th General Meeting of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) will be held in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, from 8 to 10 November 2015, AFRAA President Fatima Benyina-Moussa has announced.

Benyina-Moussa, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Equatorial Congo Airlines (ECAir), made the announcement in a statement issued at the 2015 Aviation Africa Summit, which ended in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Monday.

ECAir, the national airline of the Republic of Congo and the official carrier of September's All-Africa Games to be hosted by Brazzaville, will be hosting the 47th General Meeting of AFRAA.

PANA reports that the Nairobi, Kenya-based AFRAA was established in Accra, Ghana in 1968, with the primary purpose of facilitating co-operation among African airlines.

AFRAA currently has 43 members.
