Two tons of cocaine seized in Côte d'Ivoire

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - Ivorian police last week seized more than two tons of cocaine in Abidjan and San Pedro, the Ivorian government announced in a statement.

This seizure with a market value of 41.1 billion CFA francs, followed investigations conducted by the police.

Nine people, comprising Ivorians and non-nationals, have been arrested, according to the statement.

It added that investigations are continuing into the major seizure.
