Twelve Burkinabe soldiers killed in attack on military detachment

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - The updated death toll of Monday morning's attack on the military detachment of Yirgou in the province of Sanmatenga in north-central Burkina Faso is 12, the army announced.

"The toll updated today at 1pm is 12 soldiers killed and 5 wounded, including one seriously, all evacuated to Foubé for treatment," the Burkinabe army announced in a new report.

According to the same source, four pick-ups and an ambulance were taken away and a Cobra armoured vehicle was set on fire.
