Tunisia: 'Most Tunisian women are on contraceptives'

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) – The rate of Tunisian women using contraceptives and involved in family planning is estimated at 62.5% of the female population in the north African country, says the managing director of the Tunisian national family and population office, Ridha Alkâata.

According to him, the figure is the highest in Africa and the Arab world.

In a press statement on Saturday, he said that family planning is a right for youth and families.

"The Tunisian woman has the right to select between the limitation of births and the number of children she wants to have," he said.
