Tripoli- Libya (PANA) -- Officials in charge of communication of the Community of Sahelian-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) convened here Tuesday to discuss the modernisation of the technical communication facilities and tariff systems among member states.
The second of such meeting, the officials also discussed the development of communication network and executives' training in this sector in regional countries.
The meeting, which was chaired by CEN-SAD deputy secretary- general Ali Guedhai in the presence of several ambassadors of the Community member countries, allowed participants to study the project for the creation of a unified communication area code in Africa.
During the meeting, the CEN-SAD deputy secretary-general insisted on the efforts made by Libyan leader Moammar Kadhafi, current chair of the CEN-SAD, for the promotion and development of activities within the region.
Ali Guedhai also lauded Colonel Kadhafi's interest in the communication sector within the CEN-SAD and his will to reinforce the capacities and beneficial effects to achieve complementarity in the area between the CEN-SAD member countries.
