Top Libyan official, Congo Ambassador discuss national reconciliation project

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The Deputy Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Abdallah al-Lafi, and the Congolese Ambassador to Libya, Guy Corneille Samba, on Tuesday reviewed efforts being made to make the Libyan national reconciliation project a success.

The meeting in Tripoli also reviewed preparations for the inclusive conference, with the participation of all the main parties in the political process.

According to a statement from the Presidential Council, Mr Samba conveyed to the Libyan leader the greetings of the Congolese President, Denis Sassou Nguesso, who is Chairman of the African Union (AU) High-Level Committee on Libyan Affairs.

An inclusive conference is scheduled for next April in Sirte, central Libya, to finalise the national reconciliation project overseen by the Presidential Council with the support of the AU.
