Togo: UNDP supports creation of women's entrepreneurial centre in Lomé

Lomé, Togo (PANA) - A centre for promotion of competitive female entrepreneurship "INNOV'UP" will be inaugurated on Wednesday in Lomé in the presence of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Africa Bureau Director, March Abdoulaye Dieye, it was officially announced here Tuesday.

Set up with financial support of the UNDP, INNOV'UP is the first centre that works for women's entrepreneurship in Togo. It aims to promote and develop women's entrepreneurship through active support to their business initiatives with potential for wealth creation and sustainable employment generation sectors.

The inauguration of the centre is a continuation of the implementation of community development emergency programme (PUDC) of the Togolese government.

An initiative of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs and Togo Affairs (TOGO FEFA), "INNOV'UP" is for women, young graduates and entrepreneurs already in business and who have innovative projects with high potential to create wealth and jobs.
