Switzerland: South Africa's Sexwale pulls out of FIFA presidency race

Zurich, Switzerland (PANA) - South Africa's Tokyo Sexwale on Friday pulled out of the race for president of football's governing body, FIFA.

In his speech to delegates before voting began at the FIFA Congress in Zurich, Sexwale announced that for now he was suspending his participation in the election.

Sexwale has not been seen as a major contender in the race to choose a successor to Joseph Sepp Blatter.

His withdrawal leaves four people in the race - Prince Ali bin al-Hussein, Gianni Infantino, Jerome Champagne, and Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa.
